This exploration strives to capture profound, yet simple images that challenge our visual perception and suggest the idea that the world is much more complex and ethereal than we assume.

The work is motivated by a sense of “otherness”, a desire to taste, to encounter and to be momentarily immersed in something magical that goes beyond normality and the unremarkable. The shift and transformation of shadows, light and reflections act as a metaphor, expressing the enigma of things that are uncertain, fleeting and elusive.

Photography, water, glass and light are used to investigate this intriguing combination of the physical and the intangible. Everyday materials and simple objects are altered through light’s ability to transform the mundane into something more beautiful, intriguing and full of potential meaning.
